Welcome!
Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate you : )
Over here, you will find recipes for my daily bakes and cooking for my family at home! My goal is for my blog to be an online journal, detailing and sharing recipes that I have tried and tested.
I would also be sharing the reasons why some ingredients are used in the recipes as well as some baking/cooking tips, so that you can also bake and cook the same at home, for your loved ones!
Finding The Right Recipe To Try
While tastes and preferences can be subjective, I try my best to take pictures of the dishes / bakes from different angles as well as cross-sections.
By looking at the texture of the items, along with my description of how the dishes / bakes taste like, I hope you’d be able to find the right recipe that you and your family enjoy : )
Ingredient List
The ingredients provided in the recipes are measured in grams / ml / tsp / tbsp.
For measurement in:
- grams – use a weighing scale
- ml – use a measuring jug
- tsp / tbsp – use measuring spoon to measure out tsp or tbsp as stated. For dry ingredients, scoop out such that the ingredient form a heap on the measuring spoon. Then, use a knife to level out the heaped portion.
Do also note that ingredients are usually in room temperature (eg. butter, egg etc), unless otherwise stated. However, for bread making, the liquid ingredients are chilled (eg. butter, egg, milk etc), as you would see specified in the recipes.
You can also check out my Pantry Ingredient list! The list contains brands that I love and always use in my kitchen.
Baking Temperature / Time
All baking temperature and time provided on recipes are suggested temperature and timing.
You may need to adjust the temperature and timing according to your oven, as different ovens may bake differently even though the temperature and timing maintain the same.
For temperature, if your oven tends to be a little hotter, you can try baking at -10C from stated temperature in recipe.
Timing wise, I would recommend you to keep watch on your oven 5 mins from end of bake time. For chiffon cakes, if you are unsure, it is usually “safer” to over-bake 5 mins additional than under-bake : )
If you may have any question, feel free to leave your comment under each post!
Recipe Servings
You can see the servings each recipe makes, such as 6″ size cake, 70 pcs of cookies, 4 adults’ servings etc. The servings on each recipe is typically made to suit my family of 2 adults, 2 kids.
The estimated time for prep and cook/bake will also be available on the recipe card. You can also click on the Scale (2x / 3x) to easily double or triple the recipe to make more : )
