Our 4th stop is at Siam Kitchen! I had always wanted to eat at Siam Kitchen, but was a little apprehensive because I hardly hear reviews about this restaurant. And I was so glad 1 of the stop includes Siam Kitchen! Because the food is really so yummy om nom nom. Siam Kitchen is under Creative Eateries‘ (I didn’t know!) Thai arm of restaurants. Other restaurants under the company include Patara Fine Thai Cuisine, Xi Men Ding, ROCKU Yakiniku, and Suki-ya. First up, we had the Tom Yum Seafood Soup! Because I love Thai food so much for their tangy,… Read More
Bugis Junction Food Trail #3: Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant
After hearty sampling at Everything with Fries and Platypus Kitchen, we moved off to our 3rd stop: Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant. Nanxiang specialises in Shanghainese xiao long bao, and they offer 8 unique flavours of xiao long bao! We managed to sample the Crab Roe xiao long bao. And of course, how can we forget about the award-winning King Size Crab Roe Steam Soup Bun?! ;p We started off with this cold dish, also their signature. Cold Dish – Nanxiang Drunken Chicken ($8.50) I remembered in one of my jobs, on my last day, my ex-boss treated me to lunch… Read More
Bugis Junction Food Trail #2: Platypus Kitchen
After our first stop at Everything with Fries, we move on to Platypus Kitchen. Platypus Kitchen is a casual bistro, specialising in handmade pasta and gourmet risotto. What’s really special is that they are dedicated to serve gourmet cuisine at affordable prices (everything under $20!). They pride themselves in serving freshly made pasta daily, with no additives or preservatives. Before we started eating, the owner of the restaurant came and introduced us to the restaurant and told us about the dishes we would be sampling. And we were pretty excited over those! Especially when he said that the dishes served… Read More
Bugis Junction Food Trail #1 – Everything with Fries
Our first stop for Bugis Junction Food Trail starts at Everything with Fries. We got to know the story behind Everything with Fries – that the people (behind Awfully Chocolate) who started this establishment had wanted to serve everything with fries! Haha. The One Egg Soup – that is made from just one egg. So cute the name. LOL. Skinny Wings – No one can ever resist a chicken wing hokay! Haha. I quite like the wings. They are supposed to be the “skinnier” version, but I forgot the reason *sheepish smile* And the wings really turned out to be… Read More
Bugis Junction Food Trail with OMY Bloggers
Spent yesterday afternoon with some of the OMY bloggers at a food trail at Bugis Junction. Thanks to OMY.SG and the hosting restaurants, it was an exciting food trail, where we didn’t know which restaurants or cafes we would be going before hand. And it lasted from 11am to 5.30pm – a good 6 hours, packed with great food ๐ I was really happy to receive the food trail’s RSVP confirmation email. Because the hubby works near Bugis Junction, we eat there quite often. But we always re-visit the same restaurants because of the lack-of adventurous spirit. Haha. P.S.: Super… Read More
Au Chocolat
After our brunch on Sunday, we went to Au Chocolat at Marina Bay Sands for dessert ๐ We felt like we stepped into Alice Wonderland, and everything was just so delightfully girlish and classy. We didn’t sit in the Bistro so we were given disposable plates. But I still find our stay there quite comfy and enjoyable. I love the dress from The Design Closet ๐ Kalamansi Meringue Tart: 4.5/5 – A sourish tart, topped with fluffy meringue. I love the crust! Sturdy and cookie-like. (Need to share to finish!) For me, I would think Au Chocolat is worth visiting,… Read More
Imperial Treasure ION Orchard
Met up with my childhood friend for over 20+ years for lunch and tea. Always such a sweet girl to say OK to my weird timing and last min requests haha ๐ Chatting up a young mei mei?? Opps, kena caught! Haha! Went to ION Orchard’s Imperial Treasure. I wouldn’t have thought of going for Chinese food, because I am probably not a fan of Chinese food because of its carbs lol. But this is a worthy visit! Siew Mai: 3/5 – I love their Siew Mai! I am not sure if it’s because I have not been eating Siew… Read More
PappaRich Singapore
Blessed Easter weekend ๐ Spent the entire weekend packed with programmes – Good Friday 3-hour service in church, before rushing off to cook dinner for the in-laws; Saturday to serve in the church’s children’s club, couple cell, and ending the day with dinner with our friends; Resurrection Sunday to serve in service and then meeting my childhood friend for lunch and tea. Tadah, the long weekend gone like that lol. Sometimes I wonder why does time pass so fast (yes applicable also to working day haha). Not much pictures of the food on Friday because I was so stressed up… Read More
Tatty Marsh
Mr Pau and I spent our Friday evening at the Tatty Marsh Event. The event was held in their store, hosted by StreetDirectory.com ๐ I was so excited when I saw Haren emailing about this event, and even happier when I knew I was selected ๐ Friends who know me well would have known that I am that kind of everything-floral and everything-polka-dot girl lol. Tatty Marsh is the official stockist in Singapore for Cath Kidston, Emma Bridgewater, Susie Watson and other UK luxury brands. It is almost like everything-polka-dots, everything-floral and everything-vintagey-girly inside the store (that screams me me… Read More
