- 80g sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 100ml water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar, salt and water in a saucepan.
- Place saucepan over the stove on medium heat. As the mixture heats up, whisk constantly to prevent burning. The mixture will thicken and start to boil in a few minutes.

- Once mixture thickens to your liking, remove saucepan from heat. Whisk in vanilla extract.
- Let mixture cool slightly before pouring into a clean, heatproof container. Let cool completely before putting on the lid and storing in the fridge. The chocolate sauce will keep well for up to 1 week.
