Quick and easy air fryer Soy Sauce Chicken Mid Wings, tossed with toasted white sesame seeds.
A simple dish for a wholesome meal on a busy day!
I’ve bought my new air fryer for a few months, and I really enjoy using it for fuss free meals!
On days where time is tight, and I have to prepare meals in a shorter time frame, I will prepare 1 main in the air fryer, and the other 2 dishes over the stove. I also like that the Recolte Air Oven (air fryer) is so light and compact for my small kitchen. It’s also very easy to clean!
So let’s take a look at how these easy air fryer mid wings can be made for a fuss free meal!

How Can I Cook These Soy Sauce Chicken Wings?
I find this dish very handy on busy days. You do not need a long time to marinade the mid wings! When it is time to cook, simply add in oil and some garlic powder to the wings, and cook them! Once the wings are air fried, toss them in soy sauce and some toasted sesame seeds, and they are ready for your meal!
If you do not have an air fryer, you can also try baking these mid wings in the oven. Just note that it will be better to bake them over an oven-safe rack, so that the wings do not get baked in their own oil. If that happens, it is likely that the wings will not be slightly crispy on the outside.
How Do These Chicken Mid Wings Taste Like?
I like the slightly crisp chicken skin on the sides of the wings! It has a strong soy sauce taste as it is the main seasoning in the dish. If you have shio koji in your kitchen, you might also want to marinade the wings with shio koji first, for more umami. Reduce the amount of soy sauce for coating so that the wings will not be too salty.
Similarly, if you are serving to young children, and do not want the wings to be too salty, use about 1 – 1.5 tbsp of soy sauce, and taste to ensure that they are not too salty.
