(Almost) Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sweet chocolatey cookies that are really crunchy and great to munch on for that cookie craving!

  • 250 g butter
  • 120 g granulated sugar + 100 g brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 320 g plain flour
  • 80 g cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, optional
  • 100 g diced almond
  • 250 g chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 200C.
  2. Place flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch and baking soda in a small bowl. Whisk to combine well.

  3. Whisk butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamy and light.

  4. Add in the eggs and whisk well. Mix in the flour mixture in 2 batches using a spatula. Stir in chocolate chips and diced almond.

  5. Drop by rounded tsp onto a baking sheet or parchment paper. Bake for about 6-8 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on wire racks before serving.

Recipe Notes

You can also make bigger cookies by using cookie scoop or tablespoon. Adjust the timing to bake for 10-12 mins or so. Recipe Adapted from Rasa Malaysia
