Last weekend, Mr Pau and I caught the Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 at City Square Mall. We hardly visit malls in the north-east area, mainly because we’d be around town during weekends. So it was a pleasant surprise to see so many shops at City Square Mall – a nice Food Republic, Aston, Old Town, Olio Cafe and many more restaurants. The GV cinema at City Square Mall is new, and in celebration of their 11th cinema, there were new initiatives as well, like iRunTheCinema and the new Couple Cinema. iRunCinema lets you book movie tickets early at best… Read More
The other day, I made some chocolate marbled cookies together with the peanut butter cookies. This is a batch of very soft, melt-in-mouth cookies – like the sugee cookies we eat during Chinese New Year. I quite like the flour-y taste of the cookies. The only downside is that they aren’t sweet enough for me ;p I probably think that I will increase the amount of sugar, if I decide to make them again. A good cookie recipe to go with rich coffee, latte, cappuccino, milk tea or hot chocolate. CHOCOLATE MARBLED COOKIESRecipe from Anncoo Journal Ingredients: (A)125g Butter40g Icing… Read More
We spent the weekend doing mooncakes! Hahaha. Both Mr Pau and myself love to eat mooncakes, and are always fascinated by all the different flavours of mooncakes. We decided to try making some for ourselves. Some weeks before, we made some durian mooncake. The moonies are filled with durian pulp. However, it was a little difficult to get the moonies into the molds. And it was a little disastrous la ;p Cooking/baking is good, ‘cos that makes me understand what goes into the food. If that’s unhealthy or fattening, I remind myself to eat less for healthier living ;p Anyway,… Read More
My friend and I might be signing up for our church’s family day to sell stuff 🙂 And we will be selling food! So it’s probably gonna be something like a Bake Sale. All sale proceeds will be given to funding a church in Thailand. And I realise I probably better test out some recipes hehe! So.. It was only recently I realised about conventional baking on my mum’s microwave oven, that I started picking up baking cookies again. I am using this Panasonic oven: Which I think is quite good. Allows me to adjust the temperature, not just the… Read More
We’ve collected our wedding album! So far, we have been quite happy with our BS service. However, the album was really not what we had expected. I was wondering if I had over-reacted, and whether if people will really scrutinize our album just like I did (LOL). Because there were a couple of photos where our faces were BLURRED. I thought I had been the most “chill-out” bride, but unfortunately, I sort of flared up because I couldn’t accept their explanations. First, to give them credits, nicer photos first ;p And here are the blurred ones, which I can understand… Read More
We spent last weekend at a dear friend’s house, who is going to deliver a baby girl soon! 🙂 Had late lunch around 3pm: Then we head over for gown fitting before our photoshoot this week: While waiting for Mr Pau to change.. Here comes the “bride” lol! Our gowns and suits selected 🙂 And because of my tight schedule, I had to do the nails a few days before (which was on Sun night). Mr Pau very nicely accompanied me 🙂 And now, it’s looking forward to the shoot and announcing the banquet details soon!
Woo, 2 more days before wrapping up 2011. A little too busy to summarise my 2011, but it had been an awesome year! Experienced rollercoaster of emotions, went through tears & joy, got baptised and confirmed in the church, settled the house and preparing for our future together with The Pau … WOO! Words can’t explain how I feel, now that I look back upon 2011 with memories. Though the wedding prep is still majorly not settled, here are some stuff that we have confirmed: 1) The engagement ring We actually shopped for the engagement ring together (HAHAHA). Mr Pau didn’t… Read More
